A European giant which is prepared to hand Virgil van Dijk an extension worth €100 million has reportedly been revealed.

Liverpool look set for a major squad overhaul during the off-season. Many players within their current squad face uncertainty at Anfield ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, but perhaps no fewer stars have grabbed headlines with regards to possible Reds outgoings more than Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Van Dijk.
The superstar trio all have their contracts expiring at the end of the campaign, and rumours are yet to surface about any of the aforementioned stars coming close to an agreement. Reports have linked Alexander-Arnold with a move to Real Madrid, while Salah is allegedly poised for a move to the Saudi Pro League.
Club captain Van Dijk seemed most likely to stay at the Premier League champions-elect given his stature at the club and that he is 33 years old, but according to Anfield Watch and FootballTransfers.com, Paris Saint-Germain have made a big-money proposal to the Netherlands skipper.
Les Parisiens have managed to shed some major wages in recent years and are supposedly ready to make a splash in the upcoming transfer window. The same report claims that Van Dijk is one of the club's top targets and has been offered a two-year deal that would see him earn €80 million (R1.5 billion) during that time, while also handing him a handsome €20 million (R394 million) signing-on bonus.

It is believed that the record Ligue 1 champions are in contact with the player's representatives, but Liverpool are adjudged to still be very much in the running to retain his services, although PSG sense there is an opportunity for them to land the defender.
