An Egypt legend has claimed that Al Ahly's recent performance against Zamalek in the latest Cairo derby reminded him of when Pitso Mosimane was still in charge of the Club of the Century.

There has been a lot of speculation surrounding the future of Al Ahly head coach Marcel Koller in recent weeks. It is alleged that the club's chiefs have become disillusioned with the team's performances and results.
The Swiss tactician has enjoyed a trophy-laden tenure with the Club of the Century, but speculation has been rife about the club's discontent with recent displays.
There have been rumours about a possible exit for the Zurich native of late, and while it remains unlikely that the record African champions will fire Koller during the season—unless a disastrous run of results begins—some believe his time at the Cairo International Stadium has come to an end.
One of those people is former Al Ahly and Egypt international Mohamed Abdel-Galil. The ex-striker commented on the team's recent performance against bitter rivals Zamalek, likening their latest showing to displays under Mosimane.
"Kohler's performance in the Zamalek match brought back the experience of Pitso Mosimane to my mind again, as Mosimane gave everything with Al-Ahly and got everything, but after that he stopped providing anything new," the 56-year-old said, as per Misrelaan.
"I fear that if Kohler continues until the Club World Cup, we will go as a weak team, as Kohler works, but sometimes he relies on composition instead of creating simple and clear things that can contribute to developing the team's performance.
"If Kohler wants to return the team to its usual level, rotation will have a major role in that, as it can help improve the team's performance in general and give the players the opportunity to participate in a balanced manner.

"Even if Kohler continues until the Club World Cup, I think that his departure after the tournament would be the best and most appropriate, especially if he is not able to provide something new and innovative in his performance."
