While the talk in the fraternity has been that Monnapule Saleng might have played his last game for Orlando Pirates, insiders have hinted on what could be expected regarding the future of the talented player.
Saleng last played in an official match for Pirates in December when he made a rare appearance in the Champions League against Al Ahly, and he has been out of the matchday squads since.

"Who is saying that (reports that Saleng might have played his last game)? There is no such thing and he remains a Pirates player. He would have been released in January if that was the case, but that didn't happen because he is still in the club's plans. You can see that there is space for him in the team like when (Mohau) Nkota didn't have a great game in the (Soweto) derby, he (Saleng) would have been an option to replace him had he been available, but he was not in the matchday squad. He will be back," said the source.
