Former TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic has been announced as the new manager of a top African club.
CR Belouizdad have confirmed the appointment of Ramovic less than a day after his exit from Young Africans SC was announced.
The tactician's departure from Yanga came as a bit of a surprise, as he had only taken the job in November 2024.
Belouizdad, meanwhile, have been in search of a new permanent coach since the recent exit of Abdelkader Amrani.
Although the Algerian giants were initially reported to be close to signing former Mauritania boss Amir Abdou this week, the club have announced Ramovic as their new head coach instead.
In a statement on their official Facebook page, Belouizdad confirmed:"The club announce the appointment of Sead Ramovic as their new coach for the first team.
"The club wishes coach Sead Ramovic complete success in his new assignments.
"An official induction ceremony will be held at a later date."
According to African sports reporter Micky Junior, Ramovic was offered an estimated salary of $40 000 (R744 920) per month, which is emphatically trumps his reported salary of $15 000 (R279 345) a month at Yanga.
Moreover, it is reported that Ramovic will bring along an assistant coach and his first game in charge could be the Algerian Super Cup final against MC Alger on Saturday.
