The 34-year-old tactician was a notable absentee from the bench for the Brazilians in their match against AS Maniema Union from the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the CAF Champions League group stages earlier in the week.
Prior to joining Downs during pre-season, Folz had been working at FIFA's High-Performance department where he managed to rub shoulders and exchange ideas with some of the great minds in the world of coaching from around the world.

According to well-placed sources, the French-Moroccan has had his name discussed at Raja regarding possibly joining their technical team.
"He (Folz) has had Raja following him and there is interest. But it's unclear if it's a project that he would be keen on right now as he still has a role to play at Sundowns. So, the arrangement is that he will be coming back after finishing with the CAF A License that he is doing. He will still miss the next match against Sekhukhune United on Saturday but should be back for the next one," said the source.
