Wydad Athletic club have reportedly made a decision on the future of Bongani Zungu, who was training with the Moroccan outfit for two weeks.
Despite early indications that the path for the 32-year-old to make a move to the club was clear, reports emerging from Morocco suggest that Wydad have opted against signing Zungu.
Zungu has been training with the club for the last few days upon the invitation of head coach Rulani Mokwena in the hope of landing a contract with the club; however, it appears that the ship has sailed for the former Mamelodi Sundowns man.

Amongst the factors that are reported to have contributed to the decision was Zungu's fitness levels, which were not optimal, given that he has been without a club since parting ways with Sundowns at the end of June this year.
Having backed Mokwena with no less than 22 new signings, indications are that the Wydad board opted against making Zungu, who has subsequently returned to South Africa, their 23rd signing.
The search for a club looks set to continue for Zungu, who is among a number of high-profile free agents available in the Betway Premiership at present.
Zungu made 30 appearances in all competitions for Sundowns last season.
