The Red Devils have taken decisive action against striker Kahraba, fining him 1 million EGP (about R360 000) and instructing him to return to Egypt following their match against Ceramica Cleopatra.
In an official statement, the club revealed that sporting director Mohamed Ramadan imposed the hefty fine and barred Kahraba from continuing in the Egyptian Super Cup, which is being held in Abu Dhabi.
Reports suggest that the striker's suspension stemmed from his refusal to shake hands with head coach Koller, expressing his displeasure over not being included in the match.
Kahraba's behaviour escalated to the point where he shouted at both Koller and Ramadan, prompting immediate disciplinary measures.
Despite the controversy, Al Ahly secured a 2-1 victory over Ceramica Cleopatra in the Egyptian Super Cup semi-final, and will now prepare to face Zamalek in the final on Thursday with the prestigious trophy on the line.
