Bafana Bafana have dropped in the latest FIFA rankings following their most recent two matches in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
During the recent FIFA week, Bafana drew 2-2 with Uganda and beat South Sudan 3-2 on their way to finish with four points out of a possible six and in second place in Group K standings though tied on the same numbers of points with Uganda who have a better goal difference.

According to the latest FIFA rankings that was released today, Bafana have dropped out of the Top 10 in Africa and are now in 11th place.
South Africa is 59th in the world, which is two places down from 57, their position in the previous rankings that came out in July.

Morocco remains the top-ranked team on the continent and are followed by Senegal, Egypt, Ivory Coast and Tunisia in the Top 5.
In the next AFCON qualifiers, Bafana are scheduled to face Congo home and away next month.
