The story
Marumo Gallants are back in the Betway Premiership after confirming the purchase of the Moroka Swallows franchise in June, taking over one of the iconic names of South African football.
Bahlabane Ba Ntwa skipper, Edgar 'Stiga' Manaka is getting Bloemfontein football fans geared up for the 2024/25 season, as Dan Malesela's troops will be playing their home games in the Free State.
In a clip posted by the Gallants social media team, Manaka shared his excitement and anticipation for the season and playing in front of the passionate Bloem supporters.
"We're happy, we're looking forward to playing in Bloem with all the supporters there, we are coming. Football is coming back to Bloemfontein. Sewelele sa Marumo, we'll be there, we'll be playing entertaining football, electrifying. We can't wait to meet you, we are going to have fun," said the 35-year-old midfielder.
Gallants will kick off their Betway Premiership campaign against Kaizer Chiefs, in what promises to be a humdinger at the Toyota Stadium on the opening day, Saturday, 14 September.
