Stellenbosch FC are believed to have received an offer for defender Fawaaz Basadien from Kaizer Chiefs, according to the player's agent and the Siya crew learns how the clubs have responded.
Siya sources have indicated that after the Naturena-based side made another offer, the Western Cape side rejected it.

Sources close to Amakhosi added that the latest offer is very close to what Stellies are looking for but it is still not good enough to allow the valued left-back to leave the club this season.
Insiders stated that Chiefs are not giving up on Basadien, though they are exploring other options as well, including AmaZulu FC left-back Riaan Hanamub as already reported by Soccer Laduma.
"Chiefs are not giving up on Fawaaz (Basadien). They have made another offer but once again it has been rejected by Stellies. From what we know it's a much better offer from Chiefs and very close to what Stellenbosch wants but I think they are holding onto the player as they don't want to lose three top players at a time," said the Siya source.

"They have lost Iqraam Rayners and (Deano) Van Rooyen already and if they lose Basadien it will be a big blow to them. So, I think even though the money from Chiefs is good they are also looking at what will happen to them if they lose another top player and a defender for that matter.
"It's not an easy decision to make and that's why it seems like they are being difficult but they are not. Sometimes football looks unfair while actually it's fair. But as I have said, the offer is much much better this time around," the source added.
Soccer Laduma contacted Basadien's agent, Basia Michaels, who confirmed the offer from Chiefs but could not disclose the figures involved.
"Stellies have rejected Chiefs offer, yes. The figure is something I wouldn't want to confirm as it's causing up a stir," Michaels told Soccer Laduma.
