Iqraam Rayners is expected to be unveiled at Mamelodi Sundowns despite the assault allegations that he is reportedly facing, the Siya crew has been reliably informed.
Rayners has been expected to complete a move to Sundowns, with the club's head coach Manqoba Mngqithi having already stated on the weekend to the media that the defending league champions have plans for the Bafana Bafana striker to contribute to their campaign in the CAF Champions League. However, the transfer from Stellenbosch to Sundowns was not officially confirmed yet.

This week, news broke that the Stellies Footballer of the Year has had a case of assault opened against him at Stellenbosch Police Station for an incident that allegedly happened in the early hours of Sunday at a local bar.
Though without revealing the player's name, the police confirmed on Tuesday that a case of assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm has been opened for further investigation.
The police did confirm that the case has been opened against a soccer player from a local football club.
The latest from insiders privy to information is that Rayners has since travelled to Gauteng to meet up with Sundowns.

"Nothing is going to stop the deal from what I understand. He (Rayners) has already travelled to Gauteng to team up with Sundowns," confirmed the source to the Siya crew.
According to sources close to the dealings at Chloorkop, the 28-year-old has already put pen to paper and the deal is expected to be announced today.
