With Kaizer Chiefs expected to add more players to their squad for the upcoming season, the club has been advised to consider bringing in a former Mamelodi Sundowns star to the team.
Following Chiefs' 4-0 loss to Young Africans in the Toyota Cup on Sunday, the Tanzania club's head coach Miguel Gamondi highlighted that Amakhosi need to strengthen the team with experienced players.

While newly appointed Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi downplayed the 4-0 result saying it was just a friendly match, the disappointment was evident in some of the supporters' faces who filled the Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein to see for themselves what the Tunisian tactician has been working on during the team's pre-season in Turkey.
"In my opinion, the expectations are too high, because I say always, in football you need players. Even (Pep) Guardiola said his success, because he was at Bayern Munich, Barcelona and (Manchester) City, it is about the players," said Gamondi, speaking to journalists.
"I think today (Sunday), from a tactical point of view, we gave a lesson on how to play international games. It's not easy, but you need to have experience and Kaizer Chiefs today, I think they put four or five young players, but you cannot expect to win a high-level game with young players (who are) inexperienced," the coach said.
Meanwhile, former Chiefs midfielder Junior Khanye has advised that the Soweto giants should look no further than Uruguayan midfielder Gaston Sirino, who recently parted ways with the league champions, in their search for players.
"Right now, the player that Chiefs should be signing is Sirino. I don't see why the club can't approach that guy and bring him on board, because he is currently a free agent. Chiefs will need to score goals for the team to make progress in the new season, and it was evident during the game on the weekend that they are lacking in that department, and Sirino is a player who can help them to improve," said Khanye, speaking exclusively to the Siya crew.

"Imagine if Khama Billiat wasn't allowed to leave, and with the form he is enjoying now in Zimbabwe, just imagine if he was there and you add Sirino to assist him in Chiefs' attack, the team would be unstoppable. Form is temporary and class is permanent, and those two players are perfect examples of that saying, and I just wish Chiefs can do the right thing. If Chiefs can sign Sirino now, you'd see the difference he would make in the team going forward," concluded Khanye.
