Latest: PSL Free Agents After June Deadline

It's the start of July which means that there are a number of players in the PSL who have become free agents. 

There are quite a few clubs that have confirmed the departure of players on their social media platforms, while there are others whose contracts have lapsed and have to start looking for new homes for the upcoming season.

Over the weekend, Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs confirmed that they have parted ways with Sifiso Hlanti, Keagan Dolly, Siyethemba Sithebe and Njabulo Ngcobo, who are all free to join new clubs as free agents. Dolly is understood to be talking to SuperSport United, as revealed by the Siya crew, while Ngcobo is believed to have penned a deal with Sekhukhune United.

At Sundowns, Brian Onyango has become a free agent, with the club not renewing his deal. Bongani Zungu has also left, bringing an end to his two-year stay. Thabiso Kutumela and Gaston Sirino are now free agents as confirmed by the club. Sirino had one more year left on his contract, but has parted ways with the club.

Sekhukhune United are understood to have let go of a number of players who are now free agents, including Sibusiso Vilakazi, Tshepo Rikhotso, Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya, Edwin Gyimah, Lebogang Mabotja and Thamsanqa Masiya. The club is linked with former Sundowns attacker Gift Motupa, who is available on a free transfer after leaving Baroka FC before the close of the season. SuperSport are also interested in the services of Motupa.

Keegan Allan is a free agent after leaving SuperSport, with his agent Mike Makaab confirming to the Siya crew that there is interest both locally and abroad. 

Orlando Pirates parted ways with Fortune Makaringe, Kermit Erasmus, Thabang Monare, Siyabonga Mpontshane and Richard Ofori. 

Abel Mabaso at Richards Bay has become a free agent after his contract expired on Sunday, leaving the door open for another move in his career.

Veteran defender Clayton Daniels is on the lookout for a club after leaving Cape Town Spurs, so is Nhlanhla Mgaga and Salifu Colley following their exits at Stellenbosch FC. Staying in Cape Town, ambitious side Cape Town City released Bongani Mpandle, Relebogile Mokhuoane, Khanya Leshabela and Jo Paciencia. Some of the other players who are free agents are Kwanda Mngonyama and Wandisile Letlabika, 

Andile Jali is a free agent after leaving Moroka Swallows earlier this year and is expected to make a surprise move to Chippa United, who let go of 16 players. They are Luvuyo Memela, Roscoe Pietersen, Lloydt Kazapua, Azola Ntsabo, Siyabonga Nhlapo, Senzo Nkwanyana, Siphelele Luthuli, Darren Johnson, Menzi Ndwandwe, Andile Fakude, Kamohelo Mahlatsi, Diego Appolis, Khanyisile Mayo, Siseko Manona, Yuriq Conwood and Andile Mbenyane.
