The 24-year-old has been training with the club for several weeks after leaving Leicester at the end of the 2022/23 campaign.
Leshabela spent five years on the Foxes' books, making only a single appearance for the side, which came in the Premier League.
The midfielder also spent time at Crewe Alexandra and Shrewsbury Town on loan while in England, but has now returned to South Africa to play in the DStv Premiership.
