Mourinho Already In Line For New Job?

Mourinho Already In Line For New Job?

Jose Mourinho has been linked with a shock return to the touchline following his recent sacking at Roma in Italy.

According to The Times, the Portuguese tactician is "expected" to succeed Walter Mazzarri as Napoli boss despite only recently becoming available.

Mourinho, 60, was fired by the Rome-based giants earlier this month after 138 matches in charge.

It has been reported that the former Manchester United and Chelsea man is tipped to meet with Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis later this week.

This comes after reports claimed the three-time Premier League-winning coach turned down a proposal from a club in Saudi Arabia.

While Mourinho would be eager to continue in Italy, it is believed he would like to work with a club with greater resources than Roma.

Financial restrictions seemed to put a cap on what was possible for Mourinho at Giallorossi, though a pattern has developed in the manager's coaching record.

He has once again not been able to stay at a club for longer than three years, a curse that has followed him for the past decade.

Despite these latest reports, football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano does not believe Mourinho will be appointed by Napoli.
