Three players, namely Tottenham Hotspur's Heung-min Son, Bayern Munich's Leroy Sane and Newcastle United's Alexander Isak have amassed six league goals in the opening eight weeks of the 2023/24 season, along with Napoli's Victor Osimhen.
Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe, meanwhile, has found the back of the net on seven occasions, as has Wolfsburg forward Jonas Wind and Bayer Leverkusen's Victor Boniface, a Nigerian striker who is currently earning widespread praise in Germany.

The 22-year-old is considered to be among Africa's top up-and-coming footballers for the form he is showing under Xabi Alonso at Leverkusen, who are first in the Bundesliga at the moment, having won six of their opening seven games.
Erling Haaland's eight Premier League goals for Manchester City see the Norwegian tied in third place with Real Madrid's Jude Bellingham and Bayern's Harry Kane, who has taken to German football like a duck to water.

Second in the goalscoring ranking on 10 goals is Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez, who recently made headlines for striking four times in a single league match, while Stuttgart's Serhou Guirassy, with 13, is currently the most lethal scorer in Europe's top five divisions.
