It looks like new FAR Rabat coach Nasreddine Nabi will lose his best player almost immediately after his arrival at the club, with Moroccan publication, El Botola, claiming that the newly crowned league champions are finalising a deal that will see Reda Slim make his way to the Egyptian capital.
The 23-year-old began his career with the Black Army's youth side, and then played for Raja Athletic Club before returning to FAR, where he would break into the first team in the 2018/19 campaign.
Since then, the versatile winger has been gradually improving and impressing, especially in the 2022/23 season, when his 11 goals and 10 assists in the Botola Pro helped his side clinch their first league title in 15 years.
These performances seemingly caught the eye of Ahly head coach Marcel Koller, and the Swiss tactician is believed to have requested Slim's signing himself.
The Club of the Century was believed to have been facing stiff competition from Qatar's Al Wahda for the winger's signature, but it appears the Morocco international prefers a move to the record African champions.
