A local football agent has offered advice to PSL clubs to guard against writing players off prematurely who can add to the development of the game in the country.
Following the unveiling of Mzwanele Mahashe at Sekhukhune United as one of the club's latest signings this week, the player's representative Ratshibvumo Mulovhedzi from Rush Hour Sports Management has offered advice to his colleagues in the industry and club bosses while being inspired by some of the world's greatest football stars such as Pepe and Cristiano Ronaldo, among others.

"I would like to thank Sekhukhune United Football Club on the deal that we have concluded for Mzwanele Mahashe who is one of the team's latest signings. We have signed a one-year plus six months deal and all the parties are happy," said Mulovhedzi.
"This deal has reminded me to advise agents and club owners in South Africa to do away with this tendency of writing players off because of their age. Look at other countries and see the difference and maybe that's where we are getting some of the things wrong.

"Pepe is 39 and is still going strong. Thiago Silva is 38 and is still playing. Cristiano Ronaldo at his age is still scoring goals and there are several others. Clubs locally shouldn't write players off because Mzwanele was written off before I got him a deal at Sekhukhune and I'm happy for him. He is a good player and a very disciplined professional. I would like to thank the entire Sekhukhune United family, including the technical team for their decision because they won't regret signing such a dedicated professional," the intermediary concluded.
