An Orlando Pirates star is at risk of missing the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, according to reports.
As Pirates played two matches in the Carling Black Label Cup at the weekend against Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns respectively, goalkeeper Richard Ofori was a notable absentee for coach Jose Riveiro's side.

Ofori had been voted for in the starting line-up by the fans as per competition rules but the Ghanaian international was not included in Bucs' matchday squads for both matches on Saturday in what was believed to be a precautionary measure by the club due to him carrying a knock.
However, reports from Ghana have suggested that Ofori could miss the World Cup due to injury.
The 29-year-old shot-stopper had been included in the Black Stars' 55-man provisional squad as selected by coach Otto Addo.

Reports in Ghana have suggested that Ofori has been ruled out of the squad for the global football showpiece that is set to start on Sunday.
"Top officials of South African giants Orlando Pirates have confirmed to GHANAsoccernet.com exclusively that the former Wa All Stars and Maritzburg United gloveman won't recover in time from the injury to make the squad. This means Otto Addo cannot count on Richard Ofori in the global tournament which starts on November 20," GHANAsoccernet.com reported.
