Chiefs are currently on a run of three straight wins, following their wins over SuperSport United, Swallows FC and Stellenbosch. The last time Amakhosi won three Premiership matches in a row was during the 2020/21 campaign, when they registered wins over AmaZulu, Cape Town City and Tshakhuma Tsha Madivhandila (now Marumo Gallants).
They now have a chance to extend this run to four matches, having last done so while Ernst Middendorp was at the helm in 2019/20. During that season, in fact, Chiefs registered eight victories in a row as they were cruising on top of the Premiership standings, only to then lose the title on the final day of the campaign to Mamelodi Sundowns, following a 1-1 draw to Baroka FC.

Chiefs are in fourth place and would love nothing more to get a victory, to prepare them for their tough assignments in the MTN8 and Premiership against AmaZulu and Orlando Pirates respectively before the end of the month.
