TS Galaxy Interested In Tresor Yamba?
As earlier reported by the Siya crew, Sekhukhune United are ready to release DR Congo defender Tresor Yamba Tshibwabwa who joined the team at the start of the season from Red Arrows of Zambia.
Despite being named the Player of the Season in Zambia just before joining Babina Noko, the 24-year-old Congolese had failed to live up to expectations at Sekhukhune United.
Sources at both clubs have informed the Siya crew that TS Galaxy may want him to replace Given Msimango who has since joined Kaizer Chiefs.
"If it all goes according to play it will be a win-win situation for both teams. For Sekhukhune United they want to release him while for TS Galaxy they want a defender who would replace Msimango.
"Yamba is a very good defender but I think he just failed to fit in at Sekhukhune and he found (Edwin) Gyimah and (Daniel) Cardoso who are doing very well and even on the right there is (Nyiko) Mobbie who is excellent for both club and country.
"So, it has just been unlucky for him. But a move to Galaxy would revive his career and also help Galaxy as a team as well," the source said.
Another source added that Tshibwabwa still has one year remaining on his contract which runs until June 2024 and that Sekhukhune United would probably want to cash in on him now than lose him as a free agent later.
"I think if a team comes in right now like how Galaxy want him then they would go for that deal because in January next year he could be free to sign a pre-contract with a team of his choice. So, I believe if the talks go well he would be joining Galaxy this off season," the source added.
Since joining the team in July 2022, he has only played seven league games and featured twice in the Nedbank Cup. Efforts to get a comment from his agent Karabo Mathang-Tshabuse of P Management were unsuccessful at the time of publishing this story.
