Manchester City 1-1 Real Madrid (4-4 on agg.)

Real Madrid went through to the semi-finals after edging Manchester City 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in extra-time and 4-4 draw on aggregate in the quarter-final second-leg at the Etihad Stadium.

Man City made three changes from the 3-3 draw in Spain, as they were boosted by the return of goalkeeper Ederson, Kyle Walker and Kevin De Bruyne.

Madrid, meanwhile, kept the same side from the first-leg, apart from Nacho Fernandez, as Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo led the line, with Jude Bellingham in support.

Rodrygo gave Los Blancos the lead and made it 4-3 on aggregate within the first 12 minutes with a shot from a rebound after Ederson parried his initial effort after he was setup by Federico Valverde.

City almost equalised moments later after Erling Haaland's header came off the crossbar.

After getting closer and closer in the second stanza, De Bruyne eventually levelled matters on the evening and on aggregate with a powerful shot from a rebound in the box.

The sides went to extra-time after a 4-4 draw on aggregate and there was still no winner, as penalty shootouts were required.

Carlo Ancelotti's charges won the penalty shootouts 4-3 thanks to a winning goal by Antonio Rudiger.

Madrid will meet Bayern Munich in the semi-finals.

Bayern Munich 1-0 Arsenal (3-2 on agg.)

Bayern Munich booked their spot in the semi-finals after a 1-0 win in the second-leg gave them a 3-2 aggregate victory, at Allianz Arena.

The Gunners kept the same attack of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz from the 2-2 draw in the first-leg, with Takehiro Tomiyasu, the only change.

Bayern, meanwhile, had two changes, as Raphaël Guerreiro and Noussair Mazraoui took the places of Serge Gnabry and Alphonso Davies, who were not available, as the front three of Jamal Musiala and Leroy Sane, on either side of Harry Kane continued.

It was a game of small margins in the first stanza as neither side could afford to make mistakes and the sides went to the break deadlocked and also tied 2-2 in aggregate.

Bayern upped their tempo from the break and Joshua Kimmich eventually broke the deadlock and made it 3-2 on aggregate for the hosts shortly after the hour-mark, with a powerful header in the box after a dangerous cross by Guerreiro.
