New Kaizer Chiefs marksman and Venezuelan born striker, Gustavo Paez is set to capture the imagination of Chiefs and Mzansi fans alike.
Paez has the hallmarks of being a great player. He has a great touch of the ball, is blessed with pace, can shoot and has a football brain. One can see flashes of a young Marks Maponyane in him. The hierarchy and players at Chiefs all seem to be excited by his arrival. He has received praise from coach, Steve Komphela, and team manager, Bobby Motaung, has also given credit to their scouts.
His introduction to the PSL has been gradual. He will need to score as soon as he can get confidence. As a striker, he will be judged, ultimately, on his ability to score, but his qualities in the two games he has played suggest that it’s only a matter of time for the name "Paez" to be on everyone’s lips.
Do you think Paez can be a success at Chiefs?
