Chiefs Hand Out Debuts In Maize Cup
Kaizer Chiefs Handed Out Some Club Debut Today
Kaizer Chiefs have handed out debuts to both Teenage Hadebe and Bhongolethu Jayiya in the Maize Cup, with the two starting against Township Rollers.
The Amakhosi took on Rollers in the semifinals of the preseason tournament today, with Gustavo Paez bagging a brace in order to reach the final against Free State Stars.
Hadebe and Jayiya were both named in the XI following their moves from Chicken Inn and Cape Town City respectively, however there was no place for third new signing, Philani Zulu.
Meanwhile, Khotso Malope – back from his loan with Thanda Royal Zulu – was named on the bench alongside other young players, Sibongiseni Ngcobo and Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, but was the only one of the trio to make an appearance.
Steve Komphela is will be keeping a close eye on his side as he looks to decide his starting XI for the new season with the club looking to add some new silverware to their trophy cabinet in third campaign at Naturena.
