Khune Still Missing At Chiefs

Itumeleng Khune Is Still Training Alone And Not At Kaizer Chiefs

By Soccer Laduma - Sep 07, 2017 01:29 PM

Kaizer Chiefs’ number one goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune, was still not training with the club as their next league game approaches next week.

Khune, 30, missed the Amakhosi’s last two games and was forced to withdraw from the Bafana Bafana setup due to a nasty chest infection last month, and it had been hoped that he would be back available going into the clash with Cape Town City.

However, while Khune could still return in time, he wasn’t in full training with the Glamour Boys on Wednesday, with the stand-in keeper coach, Brian Baloyi, seemingly preparing for the fact that it may be Brilliant Khuzwayo between the sticks again on Wednesday.

Chiefs do still have a few days to prepare for next week’s game, although at this point it remains to be seen whether Khune - who is currently training alone - will be fully fit by the time they jet out to the Mother City early next week.

The Siya crew will look to see if Khune’s situation has improved for Friday’s session at Naturena prior to the weekend.

@Juninho13, eish!!! Nappyrena has gone from bad to worse..indeed what free agents are going through have affected nappyrena orphans so badly that they are no longer thinking properly. Things that the likes of @Vongani! and @banned lwandle vs editor are saying don't make sense.

@Vongani!, Khune has not been himself since picking some extra weight. Onyango and Mweene are CCL Champions. Khune 's weight might be contributing to his health complications. He must relax in peace.

@setlaboswana LOL Bro its clear that everyone linked to Kaiser's family team is frustrated. Read their fans comments, look what Mathoho is doing, Khune is sick and tired, Sbusiso Khumalo has gone Gaxa. The list is looong brother.

@Diski-nine-nine! and kzorog, negative news sell, this is the reason we read more of Kaizer's club. I can't remember the last time I read a positive story about nappyrena.

@Juninho13, are you saying Khune lost his mind because of frustration?
