Chiefs Striker Ecstatic With Bafana Win

Kaizer Chiefs Striker Ecstatic With Bafana Bafana Win

By Soccer Laduma - Jul 17, 2017 12:03 PM

Kaizer Chiefs striker, Ryan Moon, is excited to have scored his first Bafana Bafana goal, after helping Head Coach Stuart Baxter’s side to a 2-0 win over Botswana on the weekend.

The South African national team travelled to Francistown where they defeated Botswana 2-0 in the first leg of the Chan qualifiers.

Moon was part of the starting line-up on Saturday, July 15 and scored his first ever Bafana goal on his debut for the national team.

“I feel great and I give God all the praise and glory. Even today I am still happy I just want to get more and more. They say dreams do come true and I am so excited it happened exactly the way I said it before the game,” Moon told SAFA’s official website.

“It was a tough match, it was difficult for me in the first half but we had a good game plan and we stuck to it, we didn’t worry about them playing well.”

“We can’t rest on our laurels, we have to go out there and fight, we have to make sure that we don’t lose. It’s easier for them to come back – if you give them a sniff at goal and they score first, then they think they can take us, so we have to give it our all again,” the player added.

At least Moon score goals and has proven hunger and desire more than Parker can do. So, Steve, we are watching who is who in the field? A striker mandate is to score goals, a striker is not a decorated ornament and this is the season of goals for Amakhosi, phantsi ngo EISH!
