Mamelodi Sundowns Comment On Quiet Transfer Window
Mamelodi Sundowns have been relatively inactive during the current July/August transfer window with their media coordinator explaining that clubs want too much money for players that the Brazilians show interest in.

It has been reported over the past few months on Soccer Laduma that Masandawana were looking to bolster their squad with the likes of Aubrey Ngoma, Lebogang Manyama and Rivaldo Coetzee.
However, upon discovering the interest in their players from the CAF Champions League winners, the likes of Cape Town City and Ajax Cape Town have put huge price tags on their player’s services, in order to force clubs to shy away from their interest.
Speaking in this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma, Sundowns’ Media Coordinator, Thulani Thuswa, thinks that clubs who put hefty price tags on their players’ services, are depriving them of playing on the continental and global stage.
“As coach Pitso Mosimane has previously said, lately as soon as they hear Mamelodi Sundowns want a (player), they start putting these high prices. For Sundowns, they want R5 million, R10 million and R15 million. You are not only blocking players from playing for Sundowns, but you are doing so to stop them from participating on the continental and global stages,” Thuswa told the Siya crew.
“It has been tough for us to get players now because of the ridiculous price fees. In any case, we also don’t just buy players for the sake of it but buy players where we need players. It is based on what the technical team needs,” he added.
