Orlando Pirates will begin their 2017/18 Absa Premiership season with a home match against Chippa United at Orlando Stadium.

The fixtures for the new season have officially been released by the Premier Soccer League. In their first five matches, The Buccaneers will face both the two teams from Cape Town in Orlando.
The new league season has been scheduled to begin on 18 August with a match for champions Wits against Cape Town City and is set to end on 12 May.
Bucs' opening five matches of the season:
Pirates v Chippa United (19 August, Orlando Stadium at 18h00)
Baroka v Pirates (22 August, Peter Mokaba Stadium at 19h30)
Pirates v Ajax Cape Town (12 September, Orlando Stadium at 19h30)
Maritzburg United v Pirates (15 September, Harry Gwala Stadium at 20h00)
Pirates v Cape Town City (19 September, FNB Stadium at 19h30)
Milutin Sredojevic's side will end September with a big match against league champions Bidvest Wits The clash against Wits will be followed by back-to-back matches against Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns respectively.

Bidvest Wits v Pirates (23 September, Bidvest Stadium at 18h00)
Kaizer Chiefs v Pirates (28 October, FNB Stadium at 15h30)
Pirates v Mamelodi Sundowns (01 November, Orlando Stadium at 19h30)
The first league match for Pirates and SuperSport United has been set for December 05 at Orlando Stadium. The return leg of the Pirates and Sundowns match will be played on 13 January at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
Bucs' first trip to Cape Town will be on January 31 for their match against Ajax Cape Town at Cape Town Stadium.

The second Soweto Derby against Chiefs has been set for March 03 at FNB Stadium from 15h30. Pirates' last league match of the season will be against Free State Stars on the afternoon of 12 May.
