Reports: AWOL Diego Costa To End Chelsea Nightmare In R930 Million Transfer
Diego Costa will reportedly end his Chelsea nightmare with a £54 million (R930 million) transfer.
According to Spanish publication Marca, Atletico Madrid and the Blues have agreed a deal for the 28-year-old wantaway striker, and the move should be announced soon.
At the end of the previous campaign, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte reportedly told the Brazilian-born star he is free to leave the club as he was not in the club's plans for this campaign.
It has been claimed that Costa has refused to return to the club for training, despite being included in the Blues' 25-man Premier League squad.
The forward has apparently already sold his London home and is in the process of moving his family back to Madrid, where he is expected to play come January.
The Rojiblancos are unable to register any new players until the next transfer window as they are serving a FIFA ban.
Costa was expected to go out on loan to Turkish club Fenerbahce last week, but apparently an agreement between the player and club could not be reached.
The striker has made 120 appearances for the Stamford Bridge club since joining in 2014, scoring 58 goals along the way.
