With the UEFA Champions League having returned on Tuesday night, here are the 10 players who have lifted the prestigious trophy the most!

Manchester United beat Basel 3-0 in their opening Group A fixture at Old Trafford on Tuesday night, while Italian giants Juventus were beaten 3-0 by FC Barcelona at the Camp Nou.
Six of the 10 most successful players in the Champions League are tied on four titles each, including former Ajax Amsterdam, Real Madrid and AC Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf and current Los Blancos superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, who has lifted the title three times with Real and once with Manchester United.
Lionel Messi, Xavi Hernandez, Andres Iniesta and Gerard Pique have also won the UCL four times, with Pique winning the title with two clubs club – Barca and United.
The late Alfredo Di Stefano lifted the trophy on five occasions with Real, while Italian legends Alessandro Costacurta and Paolo Maldini won the tournament five times each with Milan.
The most victorious player in Champions League history is Los Blancos legend Paco Gento, who held the trophy aloft on six different occasions.
