UEFA Champions League Starting XI: Juventus vs Monaco

By Keegan Kruger - May 09, 2017 07:56 PM @KeeganKruger

Ligue 1 leaders Monaco will be hoping they can make a historic comeback as they try to overturn a 2-0 first-leg deficit against Juventus in semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League – here's how the two teams will line up.

UEFA Champions League

Teams: Juventus vs Monaco

Date: 9 May 2017

Venue: Juventus Stadium

Time: 8.45pm

The Serie A giants will go into this tie full of confidence as they have won all 11 of their previous knockout ties against French opposition in European competition.

This is the second time these two sides have met in the semi-final of this competition – the previous occasion came 19 years ago, when Juventus went through to the final 6-4 on aggregate.

Real Madrid and the Bianconeri are the only two unbeaten teams in this season's Champions League, and the Italian giants have concede just two goals in 11 UCL games.

Radamel Falcao and Kylian Mbappe have scored 10 of Monaco's 16 goals in this season's tournament, and will be hoping to add to this tally if they are to progress to the final.

In team news, Monaco will be missing Gabriel Boschilia and Almamy Toure, while Juve will be without Marko Pjaca.

Here's how they line up:

Juventus: Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini, Alex Sandro; Khedira, Pjanic; Dani Alves, Dybala, Mandzukic; Higuain.

Monaco: Subasic; Raggi, Jemerson, Glik, Sidibe; Moutinho, Bakayoko; Dirar, Silva; Falcao, Mbappe.
