Orlando Pirates interim coach Augusto Palacios did not return to bench for the final stages of the second half and the Siya crew have been informed why.

The match was interrupted after 82 minutes when supporters invaded the pitch, which subsequently saw the players and technical staff of both teams rush off the pitch.

However, Palacios did not return to the bench and the Siya crew have been informed that the medical team and team doctors attended to the coach, who had high blood pressure due to the result and the situation.

The medical team advised the 65-year-old not to return to the bench for the final eight minutes.

"The coach (Palacios) was visibly not well and distraught by the result," the source told the Siya crew.

It's time to give our own young coaches a chance to grow, who don't have health issues. Benni is the man, he is a born winner.

As a khosi fan, I see the reason why Pirates doesnt have a coach is because Dr. Irvin Khoza is waiting for the Mashaba vs Bafana case to come to an end so that he can appoint Mashaba as Pirates coach. I said it before and will still say it again. Khosa must appoint Benni McCarthy on a one year deal while still waiting for Mashaba Case which will take a year old to concludes

Njenje is not our problem here at Pirates, the problem is Floyd Mbele, Screamer Chabalala, Oupa Manyisa, Mpho Makola, Benson Mhlongo, and Thabo Matlaba. Please Chairman (Dr Irvin Khoza) get rid of the above mentioned men as soon as possible to safe your business and the best team in the country, Please Please Please...
