England and Portugal complete the five highest-ranked nations, with Messi's Argentina climbed to eighth position following their two South American World Cup qualifying wins.
Meanwhile, traditional football powerhouses Italy (12th), Germany (14th) and Netherlands (15th) remained outside the top 10.

Senegal are Africa's highest-ranked country but dropped one place, while South Africa also fell one spot to 72nd position.
