Report: Six 'Galactico' Signings On Real Madrid's Wish List

Real Madrid reportedly have six "Galactico" signings on their wish list as club president Florentino Perez prepares for the club's next mega transfer.

Over the past three seasons, Los Blancos spent more than €31.5 million (R474 million) on a new player only once. However, Vinicius Junior, the 17-year-old wonderkid from Brazil, will only join them when he turns 18 later this year.

All other arrivals since 2014/15 have cost less, with James Rodriguez being the last high-profile signing for €75 million (R1.13 billion) after his heroics for Colombia at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

The year before, the Spanish giants broke the then transfer world record when they spent €101 million (R1.52 billion) on Gareth Bale. However, since the Welshman's arrival, Real have spent far less than the likes of FC Barcelona, Manchester United, Manchester City and other European top clubs.

However, that might change in the coming six months as Perez is eyeing his next "Galactico" arrival. Eden Hazard has been closely linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, and his father recently hinted at contact with Real.

Harry Kane, who outscored everyone in world football, including Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, in 2017, is also high on the club's wish list, as reported by Spanish publication AS.

Neymar, though, is reportedly fast becoming Perez's No. 1 target despite only joining Paris Saint-Germain in a new world record deal for €222 million (R3.34 billion) at the beginning of this season.

The Brazilian would have massive marketing appeal for Real – something that always plays a key role in Perez's business model for the club and new big-name signings – and his arrival would surely hurt their bitter rivals FC Barcelona.

With Karim Benzema failing to hit the back of the net regularly, Real could also attempt to lure a new No. 9 to Madrid, and have been linked with Robert Lewandowski and Inter Milan's Mauro Icardi.

Kylian Mbappe also remains a long-term target, but his immediate future is understood to be at PSG after he joined the French giants amid interest from Real at the beginning of the 2017/18 campaign.
