The two wingers, who are products of the Pirates youth development, are currently free agents and in the process of looking for new clubs.
Mokoena recently parted ways with Mamelodi Sundowns, while Segolela has been released from Platinum Stars. Palacios has confirmed that the two players are training with the Pirates first team players that are not in the plans of Muhsin Ertugral and his technical team.
"Yes he (Mokoena) is here and so is Tlou Segolela. There is nothing wrong because the two players are free agents. They need to train and there is nothing wrong. We are trying to help them. We also have players from the first team and they are all training here together. We are trying to help them by playing with the teams from Vodacom League (ABC Motsepe League) for physical aspect of their game. They can't train alone. They have to train in a group. We are trying to help them. These players (Mokoena and Segolela) come from Pirates and we will do anything to help them and there is nothing wrong with that," said Palacios.
Lehlohonolo Majoro and Yasser Mugwera are some of Bucs' first team players training under Palacios.
