Celtic Confirm Eymael Appeal After DRC Sends Him Back To Polokwane

Luc Eymael Is Appealing The PSL's DRC Ruling

By Soccer Laduma - Apr 19, 2017 12:39 PM
Bloemfontein Celtic have confirmed that Luc Eymael will appeal the decision of the PSL’s Dispute Resolutions Chamber after their judgement this week.

It was revealed recently that the DRC had opted to rule in favour of Polokwane City after they complained about the way he left the club, deciding that he should return to Rise & Shine despite having penned a deal with Siwelele.

However, it appears that the Belgian will not be returning to Polokwane for the time being and it has today been announced that he will indeed be appealing the decision as he looks to remain with Celtic.

The club said via their official Twitter account, “Celtic's Coach Luc Eymael will appeal the PSL DRC judgment that orders him to return to his former employer, Polokwane City.”

Eymael claims that his position at his former club had become untenable, citing interference including a suggestion that he was told not to play their star striker, Thobani Mncwango.

On the other side city cannot appoint any coach because they have a coach should thy appoint someone else that mean in logic they accept the resignation for of Eymael.

Go back and lose those games and they will fully pay you done polokwane expect the coach to be commited hell no unless they want to play at NFD.its clear he doesn't want to be at Polokwane city he resign unless again polokwane didn't accept his resignation that means he's still a polokwane city until they accept the letter.

It doesn't matter whether there was interference or not. We have rules here. The contract must be terminated before joining another club. This coach cannot come here & change clubs as he wishes. Celtic were wrong to sign him without checking 1st that his contract was terminated. These small clubs!!

Polokwane city management is playing games and they are trying everything they can to hurt Eymael.Fact is Coaching is a job like any other job so how can one peform where he doesn't want to be?Its unfair labour practise. He must respect them,go back and ensure they lose all games

Polokwane found him wrong but to bring him back won't help because Eymael heart like Siwelele now and he looked still full of anger and Polokwane did bad thing the time they tried to punched him

This should be a lesson to coaches not to jump ship as they wish. The league must take a stance against coach recycling that is going on. At the same time the teams should let the coaches do their jobs without interference

@thabanakhosi the big deal here was the timing of his resignation. Eymael had previously complained about the interference from the upper powers but he didn't resign by then and when celtic decided to part ways with their previous coach he then(eymael) handed in his resignation which polokwane city didn't accept. So in my opinion I think polokwane city were right not to accept it since the team was doing well by then. He was supposed to give them time so they can get a suitable replacement for his job

What are the merit of the case did he breach any contract? if so why not fine him instead, because seemingly the trust relationship between two parties is broken.

This matter doesn't really get to us clearly. If he did resigned and PLK did accept the resignation letter then what is the problem. If they didn't accept he wasn't suppose to leave . Now we don't know who is wrong here
