Orlando Pirates will face Mamelodi Sundowns on the back of two impressive victories and Joseph Makhanya explains how Bucs can overcome the unstoppable league champions.
The Buccaneers seem to have turned the corner this season after a very slow start which resulted to them parting ways with coach Josef Zinnbauer.
Former midfielder Dukuduku feels coming against Sundowns will test their character.
"It going to be a biggest test for Orlando Pirates, especially as they come from good results against Chippa United and Swallows FC. We are hoping they are ready to face a team like Sundowns. It will test their character and how serious they are about competing in the DStv Premiership," Makhanya told the Siya crew.
With Downs already showed signs of keeping their dominance in the premiership, Dukuduku says that for Pirates to stop them, they will have to play as a united side.
"Sundowns is very united and well coached, they have quality players and how Pirates can overcome them is all about matching up against them and structure the team properly," Makhanya explained.
"You must be well-organized, mentally be ready and compete in all positions. The good thing Tshegofatso Mabasa is doing well now, so they need such strikers to stand up on the day, in the midfield they need to be ready to compete against the well-oiled Andile Jali and Rivaldo Coetzee, in the back they need unity and stability to stop that dangerous attack of Themba Zwane and Peter Shalulile.
"In all departments they''ll need to compete, win one on ones and finish their chances upfront and don't give Sundowns any chance to breathe!"
