Chiefs And Sundowns Open Up Talks For Lebese?

Kaizer Chiefs And Mamelodi Sundowns Are Believed To Have Opened Up Talks For George Lebese

Mamelodi Sundowns are believed to have opened up talks with Kaizer Chiefs for the services of George Lebese, according to Siya sources.

As previously reported by Soccer Laduma, Siya sources revealed that Lebese's immediate future at Naturena is under much speculation after indications that the player requested to be released from the club.

It was thereafter reported that Chiefs chairman Kaizer Motaung became irate with the situation, with Siya sources adding that the winger and the club were set to meet yesterday, 7 August, in order to resolve the situation before it spirals out of control.

However, Siya sources have now revealed to Soccer Laduma that Sundowns have approached Amakhosi for the 28-year-old's services, and it is believed that talks over a transfer of the player are currently underway.

It was previously reported by Soccer Laduma that Downs head coach Pitso Mosimane is believed to be an admirer of the winger, and after a controversial post made by the player on social media – the player took to his official Twitter account and said: "All I wanna do is play football irregardless of what colour tshirt I have on." – the rumour mill has been fuelled with talks that Masandawana could possibly add Lebese to their roster in the near future.

Now, Siya sources have revealed to Soccer Laduma that there is a strong possibility the winger could be donning the Ka Bo Yellow colours in the 2017/18 campaign.

Lebese has one more year left on his contract with the Soweto giants, which means that Masandawana will have to pay a transfer fee to Amakhosi in order to secure the player's services.

It remains to be seen whether or not Amakhosi will be keen on letting Lebese join the CAF Champions League winners. The Siya crew will investigate and keep you updated.

@Khosiological...You must understand something here, Downs gives players bonuses based on games and all the price money for trophies goes to the players. The question is who makes more money based on last season between Rama and the player who is at Downs???
