Chiefs' Paez: 'We Are Professionals'
Gustavo Paez Is Eager For Kaizer Chiefs To Start Winning Again
Kaizer Chiefs striker Gustavo Paez says that Amakhosi have next season in mind already, but also insisted they still want to finish strongly.
The Glamour Boys take on Platinum Stars this evening as they look to get back to winning ways following a five-match winless streak in all competitions over the past month.
Paez, who has enjoyed a bit more game time of late, will be hoping to add to his single goal for the season if he's given the chance by Steve Komphela, and he believes the club are capable of putting things right.
"We are used to teams playing their best football against us, Stars won't be any different. It is going to be a tough match. We have recovered well from the Polokwane City loss. We are excited about the prospects of getting back to winning ways with this match," the Venezuelan told Chiefs' official website.
"We have a strong mindset here. Of course, we are disappointed with the current form and we want to make it right. We have next season in mind. But first things first. We have to win these two games and close the season on a high. We are professionals and know that we are serving a very hopeful and faithful supporters base."
And what has his coach had to say?
"The coach told us to remain focused," Paez explained.
"He also reminded us to finish the chances that we create."
Chiefs take on Stars in Rustenburg at 7.30pm.
