Golden Arrows Have Landed Themselves A New Full Back

Golden Arrows have completed the signing of young Mbombela United defender, Zolani Nkombelo, with the player set to join the club at the start of July.

The 22-year-old has impressed for Mbombela when called upon of late and played a crucial role as they fought their way into the Nedbank Cup Round of 16.

Nkombelo has played 21 league games for his current side in the National First Division so far this campaign, however, he may not get much game time now that his club has been alerted to the fact that he will be moving on.

Arrows’ General Manager, Gordon Masondo, confirmed the news, saying, “Yes, we’ve signed him on a pre-contract. We did the deal openly and honestly, informing his club in January. I also contacted Oupa Matsebula, the chairman. We’re looking forward to having him. I think he’ll be a good addition to the side.”

The left back will join his new team at the start of the 2017/18 Absa Premiership season once his Mbombela contract expires at the end of June.
