The Provisional Dates For Kaizer Chiefs v Orlando Pirates Have Been Set

The Siya crew has been informed of the provisional dates for the 2017/18 Soweto Derbies in the Absa Premiership, with them set to take place around four months apart. Read: Chiefs Launch 2017/18 Home Kit Clubs around the country were sent out a provisional list of fixtures recently as the PSL looks to finalise dates going into the new campaign, with the league looking to organise games for the Absa Premiership, MTN8, Telkom Knockout, Nedbank Cup, CAF inter-club games and international matches. While the fixtures have not been confirmed or finalised at this point, the crew have been told that the two Soweto Derby games this coming season – as things stand – will take place on November 4th and March 3rd, with Orlando Pirates having the first home game and Kaizer Chiefs the second. The season itself is provisionally set to get underway with MTN8 games on the weekend of August 12th, while the Absa Premiership games will begin the following weekend. Chiefs and Pirates do battle in this month in the Carling Black Label Cup, where both teams are expected to don their new jerseys on July 29th.
