Many different figures are floating through the internet, but it seems certain that the Portuguese remained atop of the pile.
His new contract extension until 2021 is reportedly earning Ronaldo €21 million (R312m) per year after deductions, according to Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Tancredi Palmeri.
If we break his salary down, he will pocket just over €1.75 million (R26m) per month, €400 000 (R5.94m) per week, around €57 000 (R846 000) per day, €2 400 (R30 000) per hour and €40 (R594) per minute – remember all figures after tax and excluding sponsorship deals.
He remains atop of the ranking, ahead of Lionel Messi and Hulk, who both reportedly pocked €20 million (R297m) per year.
