FC Barcelona's rocky start to the 2019/20 campaign could be dealt another blow with news that the Catalan giants could be facing a stadium ban.

On Tuesday, reports emerging from Spain suggested that the Spanish Competition Committee is considering imposing either economic sanctions or a stadium ban on the reigning LaLiga champions.
According to El Mundo, the Committee's position stems from an investigation into Atletico Madrid's complaint that Barca illegally signed Antoine Griezmann, which could land the Catalan club in hot water.

Investigator Juantxo Landaberea, who is a renowned attorney in Spain, has proposed a fine of €300 (R4 800) according to regulations but, given that the amount will be of little consequence to a club of Barcelona's stature, is reportedly considering imposing a one-match stadium ban as an alternative.
The latest developments cast a different picture to the initial reports into the matter, which suggested that the Blaugrana could lose Griezmann's registration for the season if found guilty, leaving the French star in limbo until the matter could be resolved.

The France superstar joined Barca at the beginning of the campaign for a reported fee of €120 million (R1.9 billion), and has scored twice in his first four appearances for the club.
