Transfer Update: Mamelodi Sundowns Set To Make Two More Signings
Mamelodi Sundowns will look to complete at least two more signings before the transfer window closes on August, 31.
The Brazilians have been fairly quiet in the current July/August transfer window, having made just two signings thus far. Masandawana confirmed the signing of Ghanaian international, Brimah Razak last week, bolstering Head Coach Pitso Mosimane’s goalkeeping department, however, an official announcement about Manyisa is yet to be made.
However, it has since been confirmed to Soccer Laduma that Masandawana are currently in talks with other clubs about trying to land the services of other undisclosed players and are currently looking to conclude the transfers before the window closes shut at the end of the month.
Masandawana’s interest in both Aubrey Ngoma and Lebogang Manyama of Cape Town City has been no secret, with it recently being revealed that Manyama has indicated his desire to move on from the Mother City-based club.
However, it is yet to be confirmed whether or not the Chloorkop-based club has officially approached the 2016 Telkom Knockout champions for either of the players’ services.
Although, sources have revealed that Head Coach Pitso Mosimane is eager to fill the gap on the left wing which was previously owned by Keagan Dolly who now plies his trade in France for the Ligue 1 side, Montpellier.
Indications are that Mosimane views City’s Ngoma as an ideal replacement for Dolly and as previously revealed by the Siya crew, the player is still at the top of Mosimane’s wish list despite his injury.
However, as reported over the weekend on Soccer Laduma, Siya sources have revealed that Kaizer Chiefs’ George Lebese has requested to leave Naturena. Lebese has also been linked to Masandawana in recent times.
On the other hand, with the recent injury to Ricardo Nascimento, indications are that the Brazilians could be looking to bolster their centre back position, with the likes of Rivaldo Coetzee and Brian Onyango all linked with a move to the Chloorkop-based club.
Now, it remains to be seen which new faces will be donning the Ka Bo Yellow colours next season. The Siya crew will investigate and keep you updated.
