The 31-year-old has scored eight goals in 18 Absa Premiership games for the Clever Boys since making the move to South Africa last year, however, missed a large chunk of this season due to injury.
Now, having returned to full fitness, Keene will be eager to try and make an impact for Gavin Hunt over the last two games, with Wits sitting two points clear at the top of the league table.
As reported in this week’s issue of Soccer Laduma, the club has until the end of this month to activate their option on Keene’s contract, but if they fail to do so then he will be available as a free transfer.
The Siya crew previously reported that SuperSport United were considering the fact that they might lose Jeremy Brockie at the end of the season if they receive a big offer and Keene is being seen as a possible replacement.
