The defender, who joined Maritzburg from Free State Stars prior to the start of the season, has struggled for game at time the Team of Choice.

A source told the Siya crew that the club is yet to decide on whether the 29-year-old will be in the team’s plans for next season or not.

“Themba Shabalala’s contract with Maritzburg United is coming to an end. The club hasn’t spoken about his future yet,” said the source.
