Chiefs’ Striker Hunt Continues
Kaizer Chiefs Still Need To Sign A Striker
Steve Komphela’s unsuccessful hunt for a striker must continue after two more trialists failed to land a contract at Kaizer Chiefs following training spells.

Both Julien Ebah and Christ Mbondi were trying their luck at Naturena of late as they hoped to be the answer to Chiefs’ striking problems, although the duo has since joined the long list of unsuccessful trialists at the club.
Over the past few months, Komphela has had a close look at numerous strikers such as Jonatan Philippe, Darren Lurie, Okiki Afolabi and Abdalla Hussein Kilala prior to the arrival of Ebah and Mbondi, but none of them seemed to fit the mould and left without a deal.
Now, with Chiefs having a couple of weeks during the international break before their next game, Komphela may look to continue his hunt for a goalscorer, a hunt that may become more important depending on the severity of Gustavo Paez’s ankle injury.
With Emmanuel Letlotlo facing months on the sidelines and Ryan Moon only recently back to full fitness, Komphela’s only out and out striker with experience at present is Bernard Parker, with recently-promoted Yusuf Bunting his other option to lead the line if Paez doesn’t recover in time to face Mamelodi Sundowns on the 18th.
