One In, One Out at Naturena As Club Makes Changes?
Farouk Khan Could Be In Line For A Job At Kaizer Chiefs
Former Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach, Farouk Khan, is seen as a direct replacement for Conti Kubheka if he does end up leaving Naturena in the near future.
Khan has long been linked with a return to Chiefs for some time now and confirmed last year there had been talks with the club’s management regarding a reunion at Naturena in the future, he did say that he was waiting on word from them though.
Between 1997 and 2002 Khan was an assistant at Chiefs as they picked up numerous trophies and developed some excellent young footballers, two things that both seem to have been lacking in recent years.
Kubheka has been the Head of Youth Development at Naturena since 2012, however, his days at the club may be numbered as there has been talk of him resigning and following Doctor Khumalo out of Naturena.
As reported in this week’s issue of Soccer Laduma, it is believed that Chiefs want Khan as Head of Youth Development if Kubheka leaves, with the Stars of Africa Academy owner having a fine track record that includes the likes of Rantie, May Mahlangu and Tefu Mashamaite.
