Manchester United looked to have eased the pressure on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with a vital 3-1 win away to Everton on Saturday afternoon.
Club-record signing Paul Pogba was once again named on the bench as was Edinson Cavani, Donny van de Beek and Mason Greenwood.
United were presented with a chance to go ahead after 16 minutes when the ball dropped kindly to Anthony Martial, who fired just wide from close-range.
The visitors were made to pay for that miss as Bernard carved out some space before finding the near post from the edge of the box on 19 minutes.
United weren't behind for too long as Luke Shaw's cross from the left found Bruno Fernandes, who sent a fine header into the far corner six minutes later.
The turnaround was complete in the 32nd minute when Fernandes' cross missed Rashford's head by inches and sailed in off the upright.
The sides came out with the same intensity in the second half, although Everton were unable to carve out chances which Gylfi Sigurdsson replaced by Alex Iwobi.
Rashford should have extended United's lead in the 73rd minute after being left one-on-one with Pickford, but the United striker fired straight at the Everton shot-stopper.
Everton threw bodies forward in search of an equaliser but United claimed a thrid goal in second-half stoppage time as Fernandes turned provider to pick Cavani for his first goal in a Red Devils shirt.
