Predicted Pirates XI Nedbank Cup Semis
Orlando Pirates Getting Ready For The Nedbank Cup Semi Final
The next game for Orlando Pirates this weekend will be crucial if the team is to bring smiles to its supporters to make up for the disappointing 2016/17 Absa Premiership season.
The Buccaneers will be coming up against Golden Arrows on Sunday in one of the two semi-final games of the Nedbank Cup.
While Bucs will not finish in the top eight this season for the first time in the PSL era since more than 20 years ago, Kjell Jonevret knows that guiding the team to success in the Nedbank Cup will bring some positives to the club to finish the season in style.
The first of the upcoming two games between Bucs and Abafana Bes’thende is set to take place at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Sunday.
The two teams will again face each other in the last round of the league fixtures on May 27. That game will take place at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Against Ajax Cape Town in the league on Wednesday, Pirates lined up as follows:
Jackson Mabokgwane, Abbubaker Mobara, Happy Jele, Thabo Matlaba, Marc van Heerden, Issa Sarr, Oupa Manyisa, Thabo Rakhale, Riyaad Norodien, Dove Wome, Tendai Ndoro.
At this stage, it is not yet clear how Jonevret’s line-up will look like, but the Siya crew has come up with a predicted Pirates XI based on the Swede’s previous selections for the different games.
Here’s the Siya crew predicted Pirates XI for the Nedbank Cup semi-final:
